The Tomahawk Area Historical Society is hosting A Night at the Museums on Tuesday evening, June 18. Society members invite the community to tour the two museums where exhibits share pieces of Tomahawk history. The museums are located on East Washington at 5th and Washington Streets.

Kwahamot Ski Shows every Tuesday and Saturday evenings during the summer. The shows in June are at 7:30pm  and in July and August at 8:00pm at Kwahamot Bay. The show is located on the Wisconsin River across the street from The Bridge Motel on North 4th Street. This is a FREE show but please donate when the donation bucket is passed!!

WJJQ Radio 5th Annual Community Cookout at Veteran's Memorial Park. The cookout starts at 4:30pm with brats, hot dogs, chips and soda being offered and will go until the food is gone. The music begins at 6:00pm. All are welcome!!

Wa Wui Ltd, a Wisconsin non profit corporation hosts Wisconsin licensed bingo events at SARA Park. 2012 bingo dates begin March 7 and every Wednesday between May 2 and September 5. All are welcome to play, including supervised minors. Doors open at 5:30 P.M., first game is at 7 P.M.. 15 games are played each evening plus a progressive blackout session. Prize money between $550 and $1,000, plus the progressive jackpot is won at each session. Rip tickets and lite refreshments are available. All bingo proceeds go to the operation and expansion of SARA Park.

Music on the River presents The Warren Nelson Band at Veterans Memorial Park. This is the first concert in a 6 week concert series. Tonight WJJQ Radio will have their annual community cook out at 4:30 at the park. Come and get a brat and stay for a great concert!

Warren, who is the original founder of Big Top Chautauqua will appear with his 5-piece band.  They will do folk to swing, to blues, to bluegrass, to boogie woogie.  He also plans to personalize a lot of his music to the Wisconsin River and to other unique aspects of life in northern Wisconsin.....especially Tomahawk.

The area Girl Scout troops sponsor the weekly flea market at Veterans Memorial Park from 8:00 - 3:00pm. For more information please call Betty at 715-453-9443 or Kay at 715-453-4140.

Tomahawk Community Blood Drive at Sacred Heart Hospital in the Spruce Room from Noon until 5:00pm. To schedule an appointment please call 800-280-4102. Walk-ins are always WELCOME!!

Relay For Life will be held at the Tomahawk High School track. Opening ceremonies at 6:00pm with the survivors lap at 6:10pm. There will be food,beverages and many events through out the night. At 10:00pm the luminaria will be lit.  The event wraps up at 8:00 Saturday morning.

This ever-evolving, high-powered blues band from Stevens Point performs at festivals and arts centers around the Midwest and has produced several CDs showcasing its eclectic mix of original songs, blues standards, and R&B favorites. Band founder Otis McLennon, who also helped establish the Big Bull Falls Blues Festival in Wausau and continues to emcee the annual event, plays the harmonica and sings lead vocals.

Other band members are Jim Prideaux on guitar and vocals, Joe Fittante on keyboards and vocals, Ken Stevenson on bass guitar, Mark Piasecki on the saxophone, and Ben Petree on drums and vocals.

Admission:$13.00

The Whiskey Belles come to us from Milwaukee.  This 3-piece all women band does classic rock & country.  They are high energy and a feisty, fun crew.  They are very popular in the Milwaukee area and have appeared at Summerfest and other large venues in the Midwest.
